Problem:

When loading a database, the following error appears: "Object variable or with block variable not set".



Solution:

Reinstall the components located in the Redist folder of the XP3 CD.

If you are using Office XP, please verify that you have service pack 3 installed. Office XP Service Pack 3 fixes a lot of issues with PowerPoint and Excel. Two issues found by Interactive Edge and fixed by Microsoft that are included in service pack 3 are described here:
